Overview
Hollytree was founded durring the late 13th century in winter of the year 1196, by Tadarida Porter Dawkins. The establishment of Hollytree suffered from many setbacks, delays, and obsticles, most notably a group of Hollytree which required millitary assistance exterminate before the community could finish being built.
Hollytree was built using the conventions of Sylvin durring the late 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Hollytree is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.
Hollytree is was constructed arround several spacious split-log ties mainstreets which cross one another at certain axies, with smaller streets branching off of them to premit acess to the many buildings deeper into the road network. The overall fashion is remenessent of a circulatory system, or other organic construct, and is quite effishent in its design. The town is protected by a humble stone fence which is tall enough to provide adiquite cover for defenders to fire from, but no more than that. The town's peasent-grade are visibly old, but also obviously maintained semi-regularly. Its likly the local malishia or garrison are tasked with ocasional mantance of the towns defences.
Hollytree has the unmistakable air of a town on its last legs. Everything is a bit slipshod and ramshackle. Everyone is at work, or drinking. No one has anything in their eyes other than fear and despair. Whatever industry once fueled Hollytree ’s existence has dried up and the town is drifting down the stream of history as it dries up.
